My Babies

I think marriages, like everything else in life, have mountain tops and valleys, have an ebb and a flow. I feel like we are coming out of a valley right now and I am enjoying this mountain top, so to speak. I have just been overwhelmed with how great Matt really is. And it's not that I ever really lose track of that, or don't think that. But there are times when I am seriously almost knocked on my feet with the thought that "Wow, he chose ME."

This tragedy has been terrible in Connecticut, but the response that Matt has had as a man, husband, father, and leader of this family has been so inspiring. Again, it just makes me so thankful he is my husband and my boys' father. I am sure tomorrow we will fight over something petty, or I will grumble about somehow he manages to leave his two socks and two shoes in four different rooms of the house, but. BUT I will be thankful at the same time.

Enough of that. I have so much to say about the past 5 days, but so does everyone. So, come over and I'll make us some coffee or hot chocolate and we can talk for hours. Until then, here are my sweet sweet boys and at the end, a video that shows you a glimpse of the beautiful relationship that is building a wonderful foundation between father and son.

Noah is now eating baby food twice a day. Oh, the mess.

Brothers. They are so sweet together (most of the time). Noah has now started reaching for things, including Levi's milk cup, toys, etc. Levi is not a fan.

Levi at my mom's house wearing stockings for shoes. He wore these for at least an hour. Crazy kid.

Helping decorate my parents' tree, it was so special for me to see my baby hanging up my ornaments from when I was little.

As Matt says "Your family is like a bunch of ants, all running around getting stuff done." It's chaos, but it's mostly organized and I love every minute of it.

This is Levi at Matt's parents' house. Superman is watching him eat his breakfast. Matt's mom is a retired teacher and I learn so much from her, she is so creative with Levi, this is just one example of many.

Noah trying a mum-mum. I thought they were more substantial and wouldn't break down quite so easily. I was wrong. He needs something he can hold onto and gnaw on, but it won't break into pieces. He's starting to try to grab all the food we are eating.

The boys with Santa at Matt's work. It's so nice, they bring in a Santa, get all the kids a book (that I got to pick out for each of my boys), have lots of snacks and read the kids a book. Neither boy was thrilled with Santa. When he asked Levi what he wanted, Levi pointed under the tree and said "My book!" This boy is all about instant gratification.

We got my parents' Christmas card (it has all of us on it). This is Levi pointing out everyone to Noah. It was so sweet.

Levi is pouting because it was raining and he didn't want to go inside.

And here is Noah from this morning. First of all, Sophie is always in his hand, the best chew toy ever. Secondly he is rocking hard on his hands and knees. I have a feeling crawling is not very far away at all!

Whew! And that is all the pictures I have. Here is that video I was talking about:

Don't you just love watching them start to interact with each other? I have enjoyed watching my two boys play together with trains and cars this Christmas break...they are so funny together! So many fun times ahead for both of us!
